This project celebrates these songs that remind us of God's love and joy during the times we need to cling to Him most. Jolie Rocke Brown, a versatile vocalist, whose singular interpretations of song reach your soul, leaving lasting impressions! Joel Martin, extraordinary pianist and creator of Jazzical, produces this project. Pianist/Composer Daniel Campolieta is Arranger/Music Director. This collaboration by the three artists produces a totally new and original sound that maintains the recognizable traditional melody of each hymn in one voice or instrument, while infusing elements of jazz, gospel and classical genres that breathe freshness and new life into these centuries old songs. Her initial instinct was to cling to the testimonies of faith inherent in hymns. She sang them daily after hearing of her diagnosis. Three years later, a survivor and healed, she shares the songs that carried her through and reminded her of her tremendous faith in God's incredible power and mercy.
