For the price, you can't beat these.I built a bumper for my truck and wanted an inexpensive, but quality amber pod for the really rainy or snowy nights.These are great for that. If you want to be able to see in a downpour or snowstorm, these are what you want turned on (not your white light headlights, that makes it worse).One pro tip for these, and all of the "cheaper" pods on the market: remove the cover plate and apply a SMALL bead of RTV around where the plate meets the body. This will keep all of the moisture out and they will remain clear and dry for the life of them. The seals in units like these are usually sub par for keeping moisture from entering the housing.I live in Wyoming where we can get some serios whiteout snowstorms in the winter. I purchased these for use on my 2014 F250 in place of the factory fog lights once I got my new grill guard in. best purchase I have made in a long time. Others on the road didn't always like the color, I did get brighted occasionally by oncoming traffic, though I tried to keep them pointed down. *It is worth noting that I never received any issues from law enforcement about them though.* These lights cut through blowing snow and fog very very well without blinding you while you drive.Now though, the light on my driver side has filled up with water and stopped working. Maybe these need mounted with a shield or something behind them, but I think that would prevent cooling.All this said, I will probably get another pair since they're far cheaper than other yellow fog lights on the market. Sometimes you just get what you pay for!There are similar light pods, but this light pod has some distinguishing features you want to consider.Construction: brackets and hardware are of decent quality. The bolt/bracket that mounts to your vehicle holds the bolt with a lag bolt type head. It provides a nice flush look. It's a small detail but I'm pleased that the manufacturer decided to go with that design. My lights have been through mud pits and inclement weather and don't show signs of damage/rust. (Will update if bracket/hardware condition changes)Light output: Light output is good. Granted don't expect the utmost quality of light output. The biggest reason for me purchasing this light specifically was the combo style lens that is installed on this light.Wiring: Quality is similar to other lights in this category. The nice thing is that this light already had weather-resistant plugs. It just requires you to wire up the provided connector to have a good weather-resistant connection.TLDR; If you are like me and can't justify spending up to 10x for a name brand light, this is a good choice.(FYI if you want the brightest output stick with white)I had high hopes for these as they appeared to be high quality and heavy duty. Unfortunately one of them stopped working after about a year, and I didn't even use them that often. I took it apart to determine why it failed and it ended up blowing out a mosfet. I'm outside of the warranty period (12 months) so I'm not expecting anything from the vendor. No kidding these are as bright if not brighter than my ss3 pro fog lights. 50 dollars vs 320 dollars. I was expecting the ss3 to be a lot brighter considering the price, both are great but if you want to save and get the best bang for buck, get this you won't be disappointed!Someone got over 30 watts, I measured 22.62 per light. I also tested some others off Amazon and most seem to rate about half, so chinese watts are apparently half of American watts.That said, still pretty good, and really bright. Honestly they surprised me for the compact size, and would be really good if you used 4 or more of them. For the price, they aren't bad at all. But go look at the ratings on much higher quality lights in the comparable size range, and you'll find out that most of them don't advertise as much as the cheap ones. They don't advertise the ridiculous lumen ratings most of these have either. A standard halogen headlight is around 1000 lumens, an HID is 3000-3500. HID whips LED ass, but it is better than halogen, so you do the math on what to expect from a pair of pod lights and temper your expectations.
