I love the Dare series and this book does not disappoint. Avery Dare and Grey Kingston were together in high school and he decided to leave and pursue a career in music. He has made it big in a band called Tangled Royal. Avery was heart broken and just felt that another man let her down. When she was nine years old her family found out that their dear father had another women with four children. His time away on "business" was more than they thought. His daughter Sienna needed an transplant and so he asked his wife and children to see if they were a match. Avery was a match to she went through the operation to save her sister. Her father has always favored his other family. Avery and her siblings have not hard feelings towards their half siblings as they could not help what their father did.Grey is tired of the traveling with the music and all the groupies. He has always loved Avery and is not moving back to Miami to try and get her back. Lola, is lead singer and best friend, is moving back to Miami too as her boyfriend who is a football player for Avery's family team. Avery agrees to start seeing Grey, but there are all kinds of obstacles in the way. Grey has a lot to overcome to show Avery that he wants her and is here to stay. It is a good story and Ms. Phillips does a great job of throwing in some mystery, jealousy, friendship, and love along the way. You really need to read the book to see what happens.Ella is Avery's best friend and is always there for Avery. There is something going on with Ella and Avery's brother Tyler. Ella will not say what is going on, but I can't wait to read the next book to see what happens. I love the book and encourage you to get it!
