The seller only had the front cover and a CD that was in very good condition. That was actually all I needed as I didn't have a place for the back cover in a slim style CD case which I was going to store the disc in after ripping it to my PC. Great low price. CD was in perfect condition. As for the music content, if you enjoy analog synthesizers and all the other necessary gizmos needed to produce quality music before home computers became common place, then this release is a must have. I have blown out speakers having turned up the volume to concert levels so it was my own fault but the 15 inch woofers were pumping the moving bass lines flawlessly while the super tweeters handled the sweeping high frequency passages beyond the range of human hearing until it fried the speaker. My first experience with this release was on vinyl. I was and still am blown away by the ability of my turntable to accurately reproduce the extreme highs and lows, simultaneously, especially notable on the title track. The CD does a very good job of replicating all of the frequencies without any gaps in coverage. I have never been able to detect the so called missing "warmth" of vinyl as opposed to the content of CDs. Considering this album was recorded and mixed, for the most part, in Larry's basement, the quality set the standard for me for electronic music as a stand alone genre. Headphones listening is great for picking up the delicate background features and subtle harmonies but nothing is more exciting than cranking up the volume and let the sound rip into your flesh with some mammoth woofers and metal super tweeters! All of the compositions are original with the exception of Larry's cover of the classic "Slaughter on Tenth Avenue". Only this first release was primarily analog except for his digital recordings that he used to mix down the final productions. Beginning with his second album, "Sequencer", Larry was able to afford more digital equipment and nicer studios to work in but the trade off lost some of the minor analog glitches in MIDI timing errors that gives this first album more of a "home made" quality. With each release, Larry Fast / Synergy® improved his quality of music while reaching into the future with his themes. As a sidebar to the first few releases, Larry released a totally digital version of some of his early analog classics and it is very interesting to hear the significant differences between the two versions being played the same way on his 2002 release entitled "Reconstructed Artifacts".
