They are beautiful around the pool but are not long lasting I think because they are not sturdy.I'm sure they are great for any occasion, but I hang these at Christmas. The remote and timer is great and the neighbors love them :)If you use timer for lights to go 9On at dusk, and stay 6 hrs and go 9Off alone, batteries only last less then 2 weeks ... DisappointedI will be purchasing more of these for sure. I received lots of compliments on the lights. I strung the set in an almond tree in a dark corner. The blinking firework lights were subtle enough that it didn’t give anyone a seizure. The amount of light the lights give off nice too. I plan on hanging more throughout our five tree orchard for a more romantic inviting atmosphere. The only thing I can say is have patience in screwing in the bottom. The battery pack and the cap have to touch but screwing on the cover can knock that connect to the side. My 13 year put these together for me and that was the frustrating part for him. I had to “mom” it ?I did not ask for refund. I sent back one light that needed to be replaced.I have this product outside hanging off of hooks around my house. I get compliments all the time on them and they absolutely give my yard the best ambience. The remote control isn't that great you must walk up to the base to use it. But that's okay the timer works great. Unfortunately the wire comes apart from the actual light ball and it renders it useless if it comes apart.Very happy with these starburst lights. I bought a set for my porch and to hang from a tree outside. Only down fall is they require 16 AA batteries (4 in each) and don't last super long before needing to recharge batteries.I’m so happy with this product.
