This album blew me away!! After the last record (The Dwarves Are Born Again) left me less than impressed, I had lowered my expectations for this one. So glad to say I was wrong! Next to The Dwarves Must Die, this is my second favorite Dwarves record. It comes out of the gate blasting- the first two songs bring the heavy. And boy do they do it good! On Bleed Alright, they paint a vivid, gory, picture of human carnage, then Blag ends the song by repeatedly screaming "Its all so beautiful!" What a sick pup! Then for the 3rd song, they kick out a ultra-catchy pop song (Trailer Trash) with lyrics that had me laughing out loud! Death, drugs, and sex are the themes of this album (and most Dwarves albums) and musically, the songs range from punk, hardcore, pop, and incorporate some metal and surf as well. The entire record goes by in 26+ minutes but boy- what a ride! The Dwarves are not for everybody- but for those of us who truly appreciate this band's sinister attitude and approach... this one is a must have!
